1. Number Recognition & Counting – Start with worksheets that focus on identifying numbers (1-10 at first, then up to 20). Look for activities that involve number tracing, matching numbers to quantities, and simple counting exercises with fun visuals like animals or objects.
2. One-to-One Correspondence – Worksheets with activities like counting objects and circling the correct number help kids understand that numbers represent real things.
3. Basic Patterns & Sorting – These help develop logical thinking and early problem-solving skills. Simple worksheets that ask kids to complete a pattern (red, blue, red, blue—what’s next?) are great.
4. Introduction to Addition & Subtraction – Once she’s comfortable with counting, you can introduce very basic addition using pictures. For example, "You have 2 apples, and you get 1 more. How many now?" Using hands-on activities, like counting small objects, will reinforce this before moving to worksheets.
