My favorite is a big roll of chart paper and some markers... instant class mural! I let the kids work together to draw a scene based on a theme, something like 'under the sea' or 'outer space'... and then we do a little show and tell.
One of my go to 0 prep activities is a “Write the Room” scavenger hunt. I jot down sight words or simple CVC words on sticky notes and place them around the room... The kids grab clipboards and go on a word hunt, writing down the words they find. It keeps them moving, and me seating down for a bit lol. Definitely adding the class mural idea to my toolbox thanks for sharing!
